Well that might be the problem: perhaps the ol' simmons is a little worn
and a bit sensitive, since they hang in a racksystem. I think it's double
triggering: either the go'd ol' paddy's or the D4 alesis (which is also a
bit old, bought my first one in I think 1991, which makes me a bit off dinosaur
too)
