I have used both of them and sold 800 and 1000, but keep the SDS8.
It sounds much better imho..
I beleive it has discrete components except CEM3372 filter and also a much harder click than 200/800/1000.
And SDS800 i'm sure consist of synth-on-a-chip CEM3396 (or 3394 don't remember), and sounds not good for me..
Second skin is almost useless feature imho.
But, again i would prefer Tama TS305 against both of them..
