If it's ok when you play from pads , your Eproms are ok.
Jesper should be quite close to the problem...

Inside the RX5 the velocity of the pads might be not set as loud as the
sequencer dynamics...
you could try first to check the output signal from the RX5 following your
different triggering sources.
or You have the solution of filtering the signal, through MTM or whatever...
