Found the message again, it was Michael's and written back in Sept 2006:
"To get a fat output (line level), remove all seven 68 ohm resistors on
the backpanel (wired between pin 1 and 3 on all seven individual
outputs). And if you have your SDSV opened already, you can change the
output wiring."
