No, I have not left on "on" for more than 4 hours. I will leave it "on" for a day. Hope it works.

Ni-cad batteries need time to juice up. Have you left your Portakit
plugged in and turned on for a day? My experience is w/ the SDS-7s. When I
changed the batteries in mine, I needed to leave them running for 12 hours or
better.

The "Clear All" function does reset the Portakit to factory settings, as
near as I can tell. Not that I've owned my Portakit since new, but this is
what I've discovered from messing around. I don't recall whether my copy of
the manual lists the default settings; they may be available in a complete
manual. I also had to replace the battery, but I'm going to have to redo the
job, or replace the battery again, since it doesn't seem to hold a charge.
Good luck,

Probably some kind Portakit owner supplies you with a SysEx dump if the
CLEAR function does not provide the desired result?
