True but these things are worth it, aren't they?! My friend continually told me how impressed he was at the engineering and ingenuity that had gone into making the SDS-V - he said the quality was something you would never see in a modern instrument.

Apparently the Tom modules connect to this power buss at the back, in a way which the Bass and Snare modules do not (although Bass and Snare must require a power feed of some sort?). My technical knowledge is somewhere just below zero so I can't confirm or deny this.
I'm led to believe that if you have one of the magical Cymbal or Hihat modules, they need to be put into slot 6 or 7, because they behave differently in those slots than in 1 to 5. So it sounds like not only is each module different in behaviour, it also depends which slot you put them in?
