I'm not claiming any specialist knowledge here, but be very careful if painting them to make sure that the solvent in the paint doesn't damage the material they are made from. I've a distant memory somewhere of a synth being ruined by a well meaning paint job, but I can't remember the details. Be sure to do a patch test first if there's a suitable spot on one of the pads. A successfully painted Coke bottle isn't a guarantee of success with the shells themselves. Sorry I can't be more specific.

I'm going to spray a circuit bent Alesis HR16, but I have the removed instruction flap to experiment on first.
