Thanks. I didn't really expect to find an exact replacement, since it's so old, and NiCd batteries aren't as common these days. But the terminals are kind of strange: two positive and one negative. Is that type of battery used in a lot of Simmons gear, like the SPM? I haven't opened up any of my other programmable Simmons stuff, so I don't know.
Thanks,
Jim

Just clean all the crud off, and the specs should be visible on the battery. The casing will probably be totally different, so you'll have to find a new way to mount it. For instance on my SPM, the battery I ordered was almost like a AA battery. I then soldered a wire over to my new mount location, the chassis wall.
