Subject: RE: [Simmons Drums] Chords & Brains

Hey There

I'm not sure about the SDSV pads, but with the SDS8 pads I have, they have a resistor in them that is soldered across the output jack. I had to take this resistor out of the pads to get them working correctly with the Alesis DM5 module I've been using. The pads still work well with the SDS8 brain, I just turn the sensitivity down a bit.

Regards

Subject: [Simmons Drums] Chords & Brains

I have a full set of Simmons Pads. circa 1982 (?)

I am trying to use them a practice pads w/ an Alesis D-5. Most od the
chords needed to plug into the pads, well, all except 1, are cannon
with 1 exception of an instrument chord. I can not get much attack or
signal to the Alesis in order to hear the pads. What am I doing wrong.
If it is the chords, where do I get the proper chords?
