Subject: Re: [Simmons Drums] Simmons SDX Boot From Hard Drive

From: Patrice Jacquot <Jacquot.Patrice@...>

I'm very happy it finally worked !!!
what a mistery in the end this operation ...

But to make it bootable you have to copy as the first file your SDX
System...

& after naming X kit1 Xkit 2 etc ...
I think the X obliges the SDX to read in a second time the kits ...

I thtink there was one English guy on the yahoo group who could helop
you who even had a Sequencer working good onthe SDx..
The ones I had never worked ...

about yourHD , it should format as a 70M° at once...

You should read again how to format the all thing & the disks slots as
long as there is space on the HD ...
So continue to format some disks slots it should work ...

Therefore, remember Bill Bruford had only a 20M° HD & did wonderful
things with it ...

BE CAREFUL to the Soft limits 54 instruments & 100 samples in each
DISK SLOT !!!
THERE IS NO ERROR MESSAGE !!!
A friend of mine who brought my unit for studio sessions had erased
half of the kits like this ...without suspecting it ...
& I did it too...
I think I asked Dave 4 or 5 times for some kits & samples
replacements...

anyway ,
I'm very glad you succeeded !
so WELCOME to the SDX world !!!
Let me hear all good sounding things you'll do with it ...

Patrice.
