to trigger it with volt-pulses is the way to do it
http://www.elby-designs.com/midi2sds/midi2sds-about.htm i use another device bough from ebay one year ago, i've seen it up again 4-5 times from same seller. it works differently from midi2sds and uses "pad input" instead of "synth input"
type "simmons" in "musical instruments" area at ebay.com from time to time and you will find it, other than that i think midi2sds would be perfect for your sdsv.
good luck....

Hello group!
I tried to trigger my SDS-5 from a RX-5 Drumcomputer by Yamaha, using
single outpost from the RX-5. unfortunately I am not satisfied with
the result as I can't manage to have a proper trigger-signal. Whenever
a module of the SDS-5 is "hit" by a signal all I get is a very low
sound with only little loudness/velocity. I also tried it with an old
Casio FZ10M sampler... same result. No sounds at full velocity from
the SDS-5.
What inputs at the SDS-5 should I use?
Sorry for my bad english but I hope you can understand what I mean.
Any help would be much appreciated... thank you in advance!
Yours
Hauke
