Hi Scott,

no idea about the repairs in this area...
but the fact is that it's often happening ...
I received 2 modules supposely sent in a good & new state & with some
transformers broken...probably in the shipping ...

If the hum is on the phones socket , Im' afraid it's normal ...all
SDS9 have this problem...
If there's more output concerned , then yes it needs some maintenance...
