IMHO and according to weekly Ebay excurses I'd say;
SDS-2000 is bought by people with little money and the lust to get a
Simmons.
SDS-V are sought by vintage enthusiasts and analogue synth geeks along
with all those that want the "classic" Simmons sound.
The SDS-V brains still fetch high prices on Ebay. Just describe it well
and take good pictures which is sure to include the hihatcard.
Or simply buy a cheap TMI or similar and keep using the Simmons gear for
midi recording! That'd be my own decision...
