Hi Roger ,
I've been a Rush fan too , especially for the electronic drum sounds !!!
Lance as described nicely what I've been reading here or there ...
"
I'm still dreaming of this Huge tomtom sound from a "show of hand",
incredible Simmons sound with probably a sort of cowbell sample used for the
attack of the sound...
I suspected the use of a MTX9 & analog sounds from a V , 7 or even an SDS9 ..
but I couldn't say what was the source ...
maybe all that sampled in a S900 or S1000 ...who knows...
If only Neil peart (or his drumtech) could tell us more about the "making of"
his sounds ...
a sound designer maybe ... ;-)
Very nice & long work indeed...
anyway welcome in the sect :-)
bye,
Patrice.
PS & what about Rick Allen sound ?
