Hi guys,
I had been out of connection for a loooong time...
About the permission to clone , I think there's only one guy that we all know
that could say more about that ; Dave of course !
Guitar centre bought the name in USA, but I doubt they would have bought all the
SImmons patent that are probably still owning to Dave himself through Simmons
ltd / Simmons digital / musicaid or whatever ...Well let's hope for him it's
still the case !!!
I didn't talk to dave for a long time now but I can try to ask him.
As Michael said, if you're making only one model , who cares but if you're
starting to sell a few, who knows ...
well anyway , I 'll ask him &let you know as soon as I have his answer...
cloning an SDX you say ...hmmmm... I wish you good luck !!!
I dream that someone devellops all its limitations, but let's be realistic ;
it's a very huge beast ! with old components that made This sound ...
& quite a complicated operating system ...
would you clone a Fairlight CMI IIx ?
if so, I'm client !!!
Good luck,
Speak soon ,
Patrice.
