Here is a mystery to be solved. It looks like the SDS-2 I have is of later
date and maybe not of Simmons origin after all, but all other stuff
corresponds to the description so it gets me thinking that the original
electronic design might have faltered and was replaced. The case sure looks
"home brew" with bent edges and the front sure is letraset just as described
in the book. It seems stupid indeed that someone in the mid-80's would've
made a fake SDS-2. Why is the question. Back then Simmons was very much in
business doing top of the line digital stuff and why fake a crappy old
analogue then?

The mist thickens... I know a guy on this list sometimes talks to Dave. It
would be nice to get feedback on this...

BTW, I received a reply from Bob Henrit, seems like a very friendly guy.
Anything special you want me to ask. He mentioned he still has a lot of
manuals around...
