Start by checking the archives, there are plenty of stuff on refurbishing
shells, surfaces and also some notes on the tech stuff inside...
If you still need more, do return with Q's! :)

Subject: [Simmons Drums] Fixin' toms

Hey, guys I¹ve got five small pads and one kick from the x00 range (single
zone, 1/4 outs) that, ahem, suffer from decreased sensitivity :-) In other
words, they¹ve had the heck beaten out of Oem, and barely work. I understand
that they¹re fairly simple devices inside, and was wondering if any of you
veterans can offer suggestions as to how to bring Oem back to life. On a
related note, is there anything that can be done to clean up the playing
surfaces and shells? Thanks in advance for any help!

Peace and love,

Ed
