Agreed. Take the best of what we remember from the past and update
where it makes sense to do so.

I have some thoughts on pads like that; am not sure if its already
been done? (I'm still just discovering this part of the world<G>)

I can think of a few ways to get position info from the pad, to be
applied to MIDI choices. Don't yet know enough abot the Mandala and
its competitors? Need to see about patents and such.
