That's pretty close. The FSR resistance actually decreases as more
force is applied. And yes, there is a small voltage going through the
FSR when the unit is powered on. From what I've seen while working on
my DrumKat, the resistance changes very quickly, and produces a
cleaner signal than a piezo since there's no 'ringing' involved.

Does that make sense?
