Heya Adam,
Yes, I too was disappointed to hear from Brian that they had ditched
the Simmons module live, but I've yet to hear the D4 in action. It
was a wonderful thing hearing that kit pounding through a decent PA.
We did quite a few shows with them up here in QLD in the
late '90s/early '00s, they were using an SDS8 which was incredibly
powerful.
I spoke to Brian about his other SDS8 he was going to sell, sounds in
very bad shape :-(
Cheers,
Ken.

they have been using live recently, the real classic sound on the
records is all SDS5, not 8. if anyone is looking for the original
sounds on those records you need a SDS5.

triggering the HORRIBLE! Hex drum samples preset, witch as a pseudo
fan and simmons fan is a bit disappointing. But I do understand the
problems of old analog gear and touring/reliability.
