Hi ,
you have different choices really but the thing is what do you want to do
(or where (on what spm channels ) do you want to have the SDS7 BD Snare toms
etc...
on what do you want some reverb & not ...etc ...
the problem with your way to connect things to your Mididverb is that you
'll have some reverb on the all mix of the SPM 8:2
So you should try to use the auxiliary I/O as you can assign your reverb
just on the voice 2 for example (or whatever ..2 & 4/ 5 ...etc
...) of the SPM8:2 ...
I would recommend to forget about the midi while you don't have what you
need on the audio chain ,
after then (when the audio signal goes where you want ...) you can see your
midi things & prgram changes ...
If you have 2 mixers you can eventually use one for each module (it all
depends what you want to do ...& what you trigg in your AKAI as well ...)
personnally I use AUX send / Return & connect the return in a mixer channel
to be able to use EQs on the reverb ...
hope this help,
Patrice.
