Hi ,
I spoke with Bob Henrit a few years ago ; he toured with the Kinks & the
SDSV ...
He had been very haooy to stop using the SDSV wich was apparently very
unrelaible on the road ...
On the same time , the SDSV is theSimmons one that a lot of guys kept to
now so I presume that they were quite happy about it ...
I 've heard about a lot of guys who quickly sold the SDS7 when Dynacord for
example proposed the ADDone ...
the SDS7 has the worst reputation on that point, very famous for memory loss
& unreliability ...but this is another story ...
Concerning my SDSV unit I used it very little on the road & more in studio
& never had any problem, I have it since 1991 ...
Hope it can help
bye,
Patrice.
