Subject: Tom-Tom repeating and snare adjustment

Hello members,
I have the SDSV system and there seems to be two problems. The first one is
that one of the tom-toms. When I turn on the unit, it beats a loud tom-tom
one time then it beats repeatedly by itself .I turn down the volume so I
don't have to hear it . The second thing is my snare has lost it's snare sound.
I know it has to do with the little holes near the knobs for that channel.
Does anyone know how to set the little holes to get the snare sound. Right now
it's more of a tom sound. When I had it serviced at the music store he said
all is well but I don't think he knew what he was doing, all he said was that
there was power to all. I tried using a small screwdriver and adjust the
holes next to some knobs and it did change the sound. I think the repair man
messed with them but I have no proof. I do know it worked fantastic before I put
it away years ago.If any of you experts can help me I would be
appreciated.Last of all ,I am an electronics dummy so put it into words I can understand.
My expertise is everything to do with construction and That means everything.
I will be able to follow any instructions to the letter so give it your best
shot. Who ever gives me the right info for the corrections I will let the
list know so they get bragging rights to the rest of you. I'm mostly
interested in the snare unit because two tom work, not the third
Thank you list And I hope all have a
Merry Christmas Or whatever you celebrate during this time of year. Richard
