stik choice sounds fine
years ago i used to use the premier heavy rock stick (tree trunks) and they did'nt destroy pads although the same did have the shell pop off once in a while and the plybacking was starting to delaminate a little
anything should work fine for you

I have just become the proud owner of an SDS-9. I need to buy some
sticks and see that there are a number of options available, but which
are obviously for getting different results from acoustic drums.

It looks like common options are 5A and 5B, but I could also go for
nylon tips.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what is best with Simmons
drums?

Cheers,

Rich.

P.S. If anyone out there has a manual they can upload it would be
great.
