Subject: Filters on SIMMONS!

I can give you some informations:
On SDS5, only the noise go into the filter made with a SSM2044
chip.
(the triangle wave is coming from a discrete VCO that is filtered
by a R/C fixed filter for bass and tom only, for snare the VCO is
modulated by an other fixed frequency VCO to give a more complex
waveform)
On SDS8, the discrete VCO is mixed with noise and click noise into
a CEM3372 chip that contain a VCF and a VCA:noise & tone go trought
the filter.
On SDS200,400,800,SDS9&1000 toms, the noise and click noise is
mixed with the tone generated into the CEM3394 chip that contain a
VCO,a VCF,a VCA:noise & tone go trought the filter.
On TAMA TECHSTAR,it's like for the SDS5:only noise trought the
filter that is made with a 13600 dual OTA.
I bought a SDS5 2 months ago on ebay and I am drawing the schematic
to post it on Paul's site (the originals SIMMONS schematics are
unreadables!!!!).I think it will be interesting to build a clone of
the SDS5 (replacing the SSM2044 filter by a discrete VCF like in the
TAMA TECHSTAR)
Happy to see someone else is interested by analog drum synths!!
