Subject: Re: [Simmons Drums] Mysterious MTM & SDSV triggering !?

you're right about the frustration !
but I know there's a way to do it ...this is the dark side of Simmons , you have to dive in the deepness of an esoteric world to do something that seems simple ...
The MTM is the one for that ...I didn't catch the pilosophy of this machine yet , I know what it can do , but I need to integrate the access of it ....

I'm afraid everything is hexasomething at simmons , so we are in the hexadecimal world too...

It would be great to create a sort of sysex to be able to exchange some programs together ...
for the moment I will try to make work the triggering part , later I will see the Midi one ...
I will let you know about my evolution in it .. or not ...

Thanks for being there ,
Patrice.

I did create a patch in the MTM. The factory patches are quaint but
antiquated and don't follow any convention. I developed a patch that follows General
MIDI specifications. So no matter what I write a rhythm with, my Simmons drums
can be integrated. It is tedious but once it's done it is done. Let me know if
I can help any more. I hate plugging equipment in and finding it doesn't work.
I feel your frustration.
