Ok I finally found what you guys were talking about when it comes to
doing the printing for the PCB etching when using ExpressPCB.
It does clutter up the page with a bunch of dots and stuff like it shows
in the background of the drawing.
However, I also found a way around it.
If after your done you click on "edit" and then "copy silkscreen layer
to clipboard" you can paste is into a graphic application and the back
ground junk is gone leaving a very neat image to print out. The problem
is the image resolution is only 200X200 so it's prints terribly for our
purposes.
However I also increased the image resolution by creating a high
resolution image first and then pasting to it. It asks me if I want to
"resample" and I said yes. Then the new image is 600X600 which is what I
made the original image.
Now I get a ∗really∗ crisp clean image after it is printed out and the
copy I make on the copy/fax machine has no white dots in it.
Don't have any pc blanks yet because we cant afford them yet this month
but when I do I think I am ready to go with it/ I can't wait.
Thought I would share this with everyone who can't afford the other
stuff and wants full capability as far as size and stuff is concerned.
I tried Eagle and have seen quiet a learning curve there.
