someone suggested to stick some steel wire (2mm dia, 20cm long) in a piece
of wood, and bend it around so it presses down on a point. i tried it and
it works well. you slide the board under it and position things so that
the tip of the wire presses onto the component.


Alternatively, you might try hot-melt glue. if you remove the part with
hot air it might just come loose nicely.
