Subject: H2O2 storage - no sun!

From: "Stefan Trethan" <stefan_trethan@...>

Hi,

don't forget H2O2 decomposes in light.
I forgot a new bottle on the table, the sun shone on it.

There was so much presure it bent the bottom outwards and it fell over!

So don't do that, put it in the dark, or you might find a nasty surprise.
I regularly have it under the table, with no sunlight but normal
roomlight, and have never noticed gas excaping when opening, the sun is a
lot more powerful!

That said, do you guys expect any reaction of the etchant to sunlight? I
mean the H2O2 is probably gone quickly, but what about HCl and CuCl? If
bad effects are possible i must make a hood out of a cardboard box or
something...
