Subject: Re: drilling pcb w/carbide and dremel - T-Tech on E-bay

Hi,

I use a T-Tech machine like the one on E-bay.

It has a hardware dongle/key and t-Tech has software for it.

It imports Gerber and drill files and will automatically create an
isolation path around every pad and trace.

It will also put expanding cuts around pads to give those of us who
have problems soldering a bigger isolation on the pads.

The machines go for $10,000 new, but often with a good discount.
and the software key is $1,200, also you can get a good discount.

Luckily, I got mine second hand at a much lower cost.

I am watching this e-bay auction as if the thing gets a good price, I
may considder Ballendo's machine.

I'm not sure what software is available that will do what the IsoPro
from T-Tech does, and at what cost.

I'd hate to sell my machine for $1,000 and find it cost more than
that for a machine and software and then also that it is not as easy
to use.

You can see a screen shot in the photos section under Daves Drill and
then IsoPro Trace.

I can also select a section and 'rub out' an area of the copper.
This is usefull for things like given more space around SMD pads.
