As Leon pointed out you need to master through hole plating first.
Take a look at
http://www.myhome.ch/mzingg/pcbstuff/tps to see my
homebrew trhouhg hole plating machine. I do multilayer boards on my
own, but I don't use prepregs to seperate the layers. In other words,
my method is absolutlely ok for prototyping stuff and boards for your
personal use. However, for a production run I always would have the
boards made in a board house.
