The laminator rollers need cleaning due to the surface degradation
(powdering/stickiness) from high heat cycling. This causes the roller to
tug on and flex the transfer paper backing as it passes thru the rollers
while still hot, making for breaks or poor toner bonding or foiling
before it has cooled enough.
IPA can work, but, the best solution I have found is to clean once and
wrap completely in Kapton tape. Kapton does not heat degrade and
maintains an easy to clean surface.
I like the Apache AL13P because you can also swap the two cold rollers
for the hot ones when doing the kapton wrap and disassembly is easy.
