The laser printer is not related to the thickness of the board. Any
good laser printer will work as long as you pay attention to the
density, DPI, and fuser temperature.
I use an HP 2100 series which works for me.
Had you considered buying a laminator and widening the space between
the rollers? Then all you need to consider is the temperature.
How thick are your boards, anyway?
