Subject: [Homebrew_PCBs] Harbor Freight Laminator Modified

Hello,

Finished making the conversion of a Harbor Freight Laminator to do toner

transfer using Techniks Toner Transfer film.

The conversion, in addition to increasing the opening to the rollers as

described in a previous post, was to remove the original snap action temp.

controller. The snap temp. controller was replaced with a digital

controller obtained from Deal Extreme,

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/digital-temperature-controller-66334, as

suggested by Tony Smith.

Several double sided, 0.0625 inch thick, PCB boards have been made with

good results. Techniks Toner Transfer film was used. The toner was put on

the film by a copier at a local United Postal Service store.

The original was generated by an ink jet printer. The quality of the

original is important for the quality of the toner transfer using the

copier approach that I use.
