USPS Global Express from anywhere in the US to anywhere in Austria is:

Large Flat-Rate Envelope $9US
Variable Weight $12

This is assuming the books weigh in at a pound (which is pretty close.)
They're small enough to fit in a large flat-rate envelope. Figure $9 US,
plus customs paperwork.

If Lindsay won't ship to Austria, your friend's sister probably could.
