Subject: [Homebrew_PCBs] Looking at an HP LaserJet 2100

So I ordered a new GBC H310 from amazon for 50 dollars and some HP
Presentation paper, but I realized today that the laser printer we
have at work doesn't render anything that is not text correctly. I
tried printing a design for a co-worker onto a transparency and it
turned out horribly. It is an Ricoh Aficio 2022, we used to have a
1224C which I never had quality problems from except the occasional
light spot.

I've heard good things about the HP LaserJet 2100 and it is
1200x1200dpi instead of 600x600. My HP Photosmart 8250 injet printer
is also 1200x1200 and prints really clean lines for some silk screen
photo negatives I helped a friend with. I've found someone online and
at surplus stores for 25-75 dollars, some with toner, some without.
It's a parallel printer so I'd have to buy the HP Jetdirect 600n Print
Server which is about another 20 (I'm going to end up printing
normally on it at work because everything I highlight from an inkjet
printer runs).

What are your opinions on this printer?

Thanks,
