Add alcohols: no.

What works great for me is mechanical scraping. Just use another board's
egde or the back edge of a knife, or even a metal scraper. The toner just
flakes off and it does not harm the copper. A small brass "sparkplug" wire
brush will also take it off, but i expect some wear to the copper.

Acetone seems the best option if for some reason you have a toner that
does not scrape well.
