I do not know of a supplier in Canada, but this link -->
http://www.web-tronics.com/printed-circuit-board-supplies.html has
inexpensive pre-sensitized positive photo etch boards. Using a black light
will do a good job on these and you do not need a dark room. These can
withstand a little time in a room with the lights on with no damage. The
developer used is Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate. They sell it as their part
number posdev.
There are probably other very good sources, but I see no one has answered
your question as yet. Hope this gives you a start in your search.
