Hi Percy,
For a PCB mounted female 15pin high density D-sub:
There are three rows with 5 pins in each row. The distance between each pin 2.54mm and the distance between each row is 2.54mm. The middle row is offset to the side by 1.27mm.
The mounting holes lines up with the middle row of pins and are 25.4mm apart from each other.
Hope this makes sense.
/Henrik Olsson.

Subject: [Homebrew_PCBs] HELP REQUIRED for HD15 connector
I am a new member and so an intro would not be out of place. I am
Percy, currently in my final year of Electronics Engg. (Bachelor's
degree) from the University of Mumbai, India. My only reason for
joining this group is to obtain some much needed information, and
regretably I do not have anything to offer to this group by way of
expertise. I have never made a PCB and do not plan to in the immediate
future. But maybe you can help me with the foll. question-
I need to connect a circuit that I have designed to a VGA monitor. So
I have designed the PCB using ExpressPCB but unfortunately am not able
to find the HD15 connector in their list of components. So I have
finally decided to make the component and then add to the list of
custom components.
But in order to be able to do this, I need to know the exact spacing
of the pins on this HD15 connector.
If there is anyone out there who has an answer - please let me know.
Regards
Percy
