Agreed! I've just been through all this in the past couple of years
regarding continuous ink feed systems for desktop printers. Basically
someone made one type of non-optimized system that worked in most
cases, everyone else copied it for years. Then it was steam engine
time... I and a few others separately came up with a much better
system that came from a real understanding of how it worked, when it
worked.
