Archive of the former Yahoo!Groups mailing list: Homebrew PCBs

So I'm really curious why low air volume "hair dryers" (hot air systems) are
so expensive. Any thoughts on how to make a small one? How hot does it have
to be? I would ideally like a very small benchtop pre-heat rack and a small
wand. It seems odd that a web search didn't turn up similar home-made hacks.
