Subject: Eagle PCB SOT223 Routing Question

Can anyone explain how to get the Autorouter in Eagle (Freeware
Version) to route two tracks in the PCB layout to one pin in the
schematic? Specifically what I am working with are the "NMOSSOT223"
and "PMOSSOT223" in the "zetex.lbr" library. If I open the device in
the library editor and check the connections it shows schematic
symbol PIN Drain to board layout PAD2, schematic symbol PIN Drain2 to
board layout PAD4, schematic symbol PIN Gate to board layout PAD1,
schematic symbol PIN Source to board layout PAD3. If the device is
placed in a schematic / board and the board is Autorouted, no traces
route to PAD4.
I see a couple of different ways to handle this but I may be missing
something else, if you know of some solution I do not see, please
tell me.
Options:
1.) Manually route trace in the "Package" portion of the device.
Should this signal be placed on the "Unrouted" layer in
the "Package", and would that allow the PAD2 to PAD4 trace to be
flipped from top layer to bottom layer when the device is flipped?

2.) Close the schematic and simply manually route the traces in the
board layout before performing any Autoroute.

As a number of devices on the market i.e. FETs in SO8 Packages have
the same connection made to multiple physical package PINS (or
footprint PADS) I'm hoping someone can tell me a way to get around
editing library Packages or manual routing. The SOT223 Package is
just a simple example.
