Yamaha CS80

I have tried unsuccesfully to reproduce the harmonica-like Vangelis 
patch on my CS80 (you know, the one on the album Spiral and on "Blade 
Runner Blues").
Anybody here have any advice on how to make this sound?

It seems like he starts out with sawtooth waves, and might have one of 
the sections detuned by an octave...?

(scratches head, blank stare, mouth agape, drool overflow).

Have you tried switching on the wah pedale at around 60%, the reason I 
ask this is years ago, I stumbled across a hauntingly similar patch...
It was a harmonica....also engage the chorus in "parked" mode(just the 
right switch on)
Also try with the Square wave first with puls/wdth and a hint of pw mod 
to taste....then filter out the "out of harmonica range" frequencies 
and and add resonances as needed....
and finally add the initial pitch bend

Hi,
Try this as a starting point on one channel (note that the sliders count
from 1 to 6, one being totally closed).
VCO:  2   4.5  5 ON ON  1
VCF:  1 2.5  6 2 1 2 1 1 1
VCA:  6 1 5 4 5 1 6

As always it pays to play a bit with Briliance and Resonance.

This one is (should be) very close to the Harmonica sound used on ³3+3² from
Spiral.
