                  Hi all.

I just noticed that a weeks from now will be the 5th anniversary of me starting this group! Hard to believe. Back then, I was thinking of picking up a CS80 to fix up and wanted to get a feel for what was out there in terms of owners and techs.

I did get one (my 3rd over the years) soon after and spent a year or so fixing it up, having a great time, and meeting lots of cool people in this group. I eventually sold my CS80, but I've gotten my fixes since then by doing repairs, tunings, and MIDI installs for other SoCal CS80 owners.

I look forward to another 5 years of CS fun. Maybe someday there will be another synth to match the great beast. Luckily, Yamaha built them like tanks (including the weight), so I don't see any reason a lot of them won't still be working for another 10 years!

David
