Yamaha CS80

Today I had my OB-Xa open and I was listening to the
difference between the stereo CEM3360 based output on
the synth itself vs. leads going straight to four of
the individual voice cards. I was blown away with the
difference. I know that there must be allowances for
headroom, but the sheer difference in bass and
presence...

it got me thinking about the CS-80.

Has anyone ever evaluated the CS-80's output section
this way? Has anyone resorted to wiring the 8 voices
straight into their mixer?

PS- what's the best way to obtain a copy of the CS-80
instruction manual?
