The longer answer is yes, but you have to be able to write the software that reads it, as there's no real standard way. For your purposes, the answer is still probably no. The XL-7 uses text events to save its "routing" info. If you open the file up on your computer and view the text events for each track, you should be able to edit it there, though that will only apply to the XL-7.
