Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

After some interaction with Emu's tech support (and some help from 
rEalm, of course!) I found out what I would call a 'secret' key 
combination that must be used if you want to run external gear from 
your XL or MP.
What I do is run all my other midi devices (groove boxes in my case)
from the midi b output. I set the track channel output to multib, and 
then in the event viewer add the program changes that I want to send.
Note that you cannot have two events at the exact same time. Then in 
the event viewer I set the channel I want the program change to occur 
on, and the program change number of course.
Here is the trick: you MUST hit the REPEAT button to save the change 
in the event viewer, before you save the changes to the pattern. So 
if you have several devices, you have to hit repeat after you put in 
the info for each device or it won't save.
Not very intuitive, but at least it works.
