i bought the techhno synth rom last week (2nd hand), but i have to say i'm a
bit disappointed..
i't got a lot of useable techno-sounds (chords especially), but also lots
and lots of kind of old fashioned sounds as well as a lot of percussion
sounds that all seem to be variations of 909 samples. compared to the XL-7
or Mo Phatt rom i think it's kinda weak and one-dimensional. only a couple
of presets get my inpsiration going (like a lot of the XL-7 sounds do (by
the way did you hear the new Ken Ishii album? I'm sure he has an XL 7 or
otherwise maybe Xtreme lead too)

having said that, I've only played with the techno synth ROM for a day or 3
ad it might be that I'll discover all kind of hidden treasures, and maybe
have to dive a bit deeper into the sounds to make them suit my own
style/sound/emotions
best thing seems to be to hear the sounds yourself in a shop or whatever..

i dont know, i heard the techno is good but the Protozoa is kinda old/weak
sounding.... i heard the proteus pop rom is the best for bread and butter..
