Oh yeah, really loving this synth still. Excellent sound and just too much fun to program. The keyboard itself is one of my favorite things though, it feels wonderful, and just begs to be played (and I'm not even a keyboard player per se). Between the KC and the XL-7, all of my synthesis bases are completely covered. Favorite features: - All effects parameters can be modulated just like the synth parameters. - The Random feature allows you to adjust parameter amount and depth, so you can subtly radomize patches. - Easy to use, most features are on the front panel. - Well built, the knobs are silky smooth and everything is solid. - 3 band EQ on each patch, this should be on EVERY synth IMO, makes it so much easier to get a patch to fit in the mix. - Snap mode for the knobs make real-time tweaking a no-brainer. Not so good: - A lot of features are still hidden in menus, some not where you'd thing too (ie the EQ's are part of the distortion module). - Lot's of button presses needed to cycle through the basic patch parameters in system edit. Not a biggy, but it's not as intuitive or as well laid out as it could be. - It's hard to know when to stop tweaking patches and just start recording! :) Would I buy another one if it was stolen? Most definitely, though hopefully I'd get some fair warning as it took forever to get here from Germany the first time around! If you're serious about getting one and your local store doesn't have any, order it now, they're always back ordered from what I understand. rEalm Also as an aside to Realm, how is that Virus KC? I am thinking of ordering one of those as well.(my only other "keyboard" synth is an ancient Ensoniq ESQ-1 circa 1986.) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
