Good one! I too wish for same way to set the length of notes in grid
mode. It's fine for short drum hits, but instrument parts get set to a
value of like a 1/16th or something too. I know that in grid mode the
velocity is set by hard hard you hit the pad, too bad the note value
(length) isn't done the same. Anyone know how to control note length when
inputting, or even after the fact? I know you can change the velocity and
transposition after the fact, but you can't lengthen notes. I use Cubase
for this now, but that only works when I'm in the studio...

Subject: [xl7] Grid sequencing
Does anyone know whether it is possible in grid sequencing mode to
"tie" notes together? I want to represent the effect of holding a note
down, say for four increments of the grid. But filling up four spaces
on the grid simply triggers the note four times. I know I could do
this by real time record, but it would be more accurate (given my
level of skill anyway) if it could be done in the grid.
